Christ Stevens
Upon graduation from the University of Arizona, Chris Stevens worked in the world of banking and finance before finding his way into the wine & spirits industry a decade ago. Chris has worked in several aspects of the industry, including distribution and supplier roles. During his time at Baroness, Chris managed seven territories throughout Colorado, including Aspen, Vail, Denver Metro, and Colorado Springs. As Chris evolved into the supplier segment, his role as National Sales Director for Nexus Brands, allowed him to implement a multi-state promotions division, develop chain sales (Kroger, Whole Foods, Safeway, along with several regional retailers), and expand Nexus Brands into Canada, and Japan. Speakeasy Wine & Spirits has recently opened other international markets. Chris’ philanthropy runs deep including the Special Olympics, and coaching tennis. A personal life-coach to many industry professionals.
Alicia Vargo
Speakeasy Wine & Spirits offers growth for distinctive beverages, with exceptional brand development for everything Grapes, Grains, Hops, and Ciders. Alicia Vargo-Managing Partner has a varied and accomplished career in the Beverage Industry. Her experience runs deep-rooted in wholesale. Her father was a wholesale cheese broker, so it only made sense for Alicia to go into the wholesale wine and spirits industry. Speakeasy is also a proud member of the USBG, US Bartenders Guild. Alicia, over the years, has been fortunate to have been acknowledged for her philanthropy humbly winning awards for “Outstanding Business Woman of the Year”, Denver Business Journal, “Top Women-owned Businesses”, CO Biz Magazine, and more. Alicia states “When I take a moment to reflect on how I personally affect small businesses in a profound way each and every day, my day is well spent!”
